I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and will graduate in May 2017. Like most people, I chose accounting because it’s a versatile degree and the job opportunities with an accounting degree are endless.

In January 2014, I had a Job Shadow day with Mueller where I was able to visit different departments and meet with individuals throughout the company and learn about their day-to-day tasks and their role at Mueller.  My biggest take away from that one day in the office was that Mueller has a great sense of community. It was a community that I wanted to be a part of and now, here I am.

I truly believe I have learned more during my internship with the Audit department here at Mueller than I could have learned anywhere else. From day one, I did not feel like I was an intern, but more like a member of the team.  Mueller has provided me with plenty of opportunities working directly with clients on a wide variety of engagements and no matter what; someone was always there to help answer questions.

Although a majority of my day-to-day work was with the Audit department, I have enjoyed getting to know the partners, managers, and staff throughout the entire office and will miss everyone while I finish up my studies.
