Experience

Lance has been in public accounting since 2001 and currently is a Supervisor in the Audit Department. Earlier in his career he worked at an MBE that contracted work with Big 4 firms using their audit methodology and served such clients as United Airlines, Cook County Health Facilities, Chicago Housing Authority, and Chicago Public Schools.

He has extensive experience in providing audit and consulting services to a wide variety of clients. His client engagements include commercial audits in the manufacturing and the consumer services industry with annual revenues between $100 and $400 million. He also specializes in non-profit and employee benefit plan audits.

Lance is an active member of the Firm’s Employee Benefit Services Group which works on initiatives related to client service improvement, staff development, and growth.

He has over 15 years of experience auditing defined contribution, defined benefit, SEC-registered, 403(b), health and welfare, and employee stock ownership plans. Lance regularly attends continuing professional education trainings throughout the year to stay current with industry standards. His experience gives him the ability to lead efficient audits, identify technical compliance issues and corrections, address administration issues and ensure plans are in compliance with financial reporting requirements.

Lance is currently pursuing the CPA designation.
