September 22, 2020 – Mueller Certified Public Accountants and the Kane County Cougars have announced that they have awarded the annual Al Mueller Memorial Scholarship that benefits deserving college students majoring in the field of accounting.

“Covid-19 has certainly proved challenging for all, and in particular, sports and Minor League Baseball with the cancellation of the 2020 season,” said Dave Nissen, CEO/President of Mueller, “And even though we are not able to award the scholarships in person this year at the ballpark, we continue to honor Al Mueller’s legacy and support the future generation of accountants.”

Alfred (Al) Mueller was the founding Partner of Mueller & Co., LLP. Al passed away in March of 2016 and left a lasting legacy for his employees, clients, and the local community through his many civic and philanthropic endeavors.

The Al Mueller Memorial Scholarship Fund provides five scholarships annually. This year each of the honored students will receive $1,500 towards continuing their education.
