I am an intern in the Audit department at Mueller. I am set to graduate from Illinois State University in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. I chose accounting as a career path because it offers limitless career opportunities as well as the chance to gain insight into various types of business.
My internship at Mueller continuously surprises me with something new every day. I have had opportunities to travel, work in various environments, gain friends among colleagues, and learn more than I believed I was capable of. The audit department has made my internship both rewarding and fun. My coworkers have been very encouraging and always eager to give guidance when needed. Outside of the workplace, the department is not afraid of a good time. We have had many department outings including a Cubs Vs. White Sox game coming up in September that I am looking forward to.
Overall, this internship has left me excited to see what my future career will look like. I hope to continue at Mueller post-graduation as my time here has been very rewarding.
